Initially AFI Cotroceni had a rentable area of approximately 76,000 square meters and comprises 300 shops, 2,500 parking spaces, an Auchan hypermarket , 20 cinemas, the first IMAX cinema in Romania (3D), restaurants, a runway carting, two casinos, an ice rink of approximately 1,000 square meters, a climbing wall, an artificial lake, a children’s playground, a roller rink, a bowling alley and a snooker.

At the end of 2017 AFI Cotroceni reached a rentable surface of 90,000 meters after several extensions.

It is located in the western part of the city, in sector 6 , between the city center and the largest neighborhoods in Bucharest , Militari and Drumul Taberei .
