Baneasa Shopping City is a shopping center in the north of Bucharest , opened on April 18, 2008 . It has a total rentable area of 85,000 square meters and is owned by businessman Gabriel Popoviciu .
The builder of the mall was the French company Bouygue. The investment in the development of the mall was 150 million euros. Baneasa Shopping City is the fifth mall opened in Bucharest. Baneasa Commercial Area is one of the three integrated parts of Baneasa Project.
In addition to the commercial area, which covers an area of 450,000 square meters, the Baneasa Project will offer over 3,000 housing units and a business park with type A and A plus office spaces, with an area of 160,000 square meters.
