Bicaz

Located at an altitude of 432 m, Bicazul is guarded by forested mountains, as the height is noted the mountain Sima – 1147 m, Batca Stegea – 1316 m and Cosmiţa – 1014.5 m.

The city of Bicaz covers 148 Km, having three component villages: White Spring, Potoci and Secu.

The natural conditions of the area favored the development of the human settlement, the history of the place stretching in time for an appreciable period until the Paleolithic. Archaeological researchers have discovered on the terrace from the confluence of Bicaz with Bistriţa traces of life since the stone age.

Being in Bicaz, tourists will be attracted first and foremost by the Ceahlau Massif, that “Lord among all the asses who make a show of honor” as described by Alecu Russo, from the lake of accumulation called Izvoru Muntelui and “Sea between mountains” ”, as well as the Bicaz Gorges (21 km), the Red Lake (37 Km) or the Tarcaului Valley.
